The health and safety of our employees, our neighbours, visitors, customers and consumers as well as the protection of the environment is our priority concern, which we consistently follow throughout the company. We take health, safety and the environment (HSE) into account in all our business decisions and activities. We promote a sense of responsibility for HSE in our employees by means of targeted information and training.
Continuous improvement and risk reduction
We reduce environmental pollution by optimising our use of raw materials and energy. With the continuous HSE process we assess the effects of our products, processes and technologies on safety, environment and health with the aim of achieving continual optimisation. Using risk analyses, we try to eliminate incidents as far as is humanly possible.
Management of incidents
We use constructional, technical and organisational methods to prevent and limit the effects of incidents. We fight any incidents with internal and external emergency services. Joint exercises are regularly carried out in order to be ready for all possible scenarios. By documenting and evaluating incidents, a repeat of an identical or similar occurrence is minimised.
Checks, Records
We identify the important parameters that are relevant to HSE. Regular checks, records and evaluations form the basis for managing the continual improvement in our HSE process.
Information, communication
We foster open communication with our employees, the neighbourhood, the public, our customers, the authorities and other interested parties. We inform our customers about safe handling and storage, environmental compatibility and ecological use of our products. The interest of our employees, neighbours, of the authorities and the public in our HSE performance is one of our most important concerns.
Contract partners, suppliers
We support our suppliers and contract partners in their endeavours towards improving their HSE guidelines.
Observance of the law and work safety
We comply with the legal requirements and official government regulations regarding health, safety and the environment.
